HCHC is a dynamic Community Health Center that offers a health care delivery environment that ensures all members of our community have access to high quality primary care, dental, and behavioral health services. We also provide medication assistance support to ensure our patients have access to the lowest cost for their medications, transportation assistance to and from appointments if needed, community resource connections to close gaps with social determinants of care, integrated care models including targeted chronic disease management support with our Pharmacy team and much more. We assist patients in getting access to Medicaid as well as other insurance options using trained professional staff who serve in these roles.Hours of operation:
Monday-Friday 7:30AM-6:00PM, Saturdays 8:00AM-12:00PMEssential functions of the job include:Auscultating blood pressureAbility to hear soft voicesClearly communicating instructionsProviding input on assessments and evaluations of patientsObtaining and documenting Medical HistoryRelaying information to multiple personnel, patients and their familiesMathematically calculating drug therapyAdministration of immunizations, therapeutic injections, medications and skin testsPerformance and documentation of vital sign checksRoutine treatments such as inhalation therapy and dressing changesProviding accurate, complete, legible and timely documentation of all procedures in the medical recordAbility to lift or move up to 25 poundsBending, squatting, sitting and standing as necessaryCultural sensitivity surrounding diverse patient populationObserves the dignity, confidentiality and privacy of patients and is aware of HIPAA guidelinesTravel may be required to any of our locations (Stoneport, Elkton, or Parkview)Full-time Clinical Staff Nurses at HCHC enjoy:Daylight schedule 5x8's or 4x10's schedule options depending on availability - occasional Saturday morningsPaid Maternity and Parental bonding leave for full time employeesWork-life balance achieved through generous paid-time-off (PTO)- PTO includes paid vacation, personal days and sick leaveBenefits:Health, Dental, Vision403B with company matchCompany paid life insuranceShort-Term & Long-Term disabilityRequirementsRequired:Current state licensure for Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)Current CPR (BLS) certificate is requiredPreferred:Previous experience in a medical office settingExperience with electronic medical recordsBilingual Language Skills
