Job Summary:
Based in Northville, MI, the Executive Director of Talent Management implements learning programs across all lines of business as well as overseeing the HRIS process, recognition programs, DEI, engagement, branding of programs and provides technical support to streamline processes driving efficiency. Identifying and exceeding internal customer expectations, this role works in collaboration with peers and is responsible for identifying training needs, providing guidance and support for policy and procedure implementation, delivering user training programs, streamlining processes (technical or otherwise) and identifying improvements in the training programs. This role also serves as a key resource for company-wide initiatives such as training needs assessment, program development, performance management, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive talent management initiatives across the enterprise
Implement leadership development programs and support and lead enterprise-wide succession planning
Modify training and development initiatives to address changing workforce trends, emerging training methods and dynamic operational objectives
Support strategic efforts around standardization of Tenneco operations to drive long-term cultural and behavioral change to deliver on KPIs
Assist with the provision of expert facilitation and coaching to supervisors and managers regarding talent development methods and tools
Provide consultative services to operational business units that lead to long-term behavioral change and positive impact to results
Prepare budgetary recommendations that meet departmental goals and provide for effective management of resources
Identify and build technical solutions to ensure consistency, standardization and efficiency in our process
Lead cultural initiatives that are aligned with Tenneco Core Values
Model the desired culture, mission, vision and values of the organization
Facilitate engagement surveys and resulting action planning
Lead talent reviews and performance management processes
Collaborate with HR and business leaders to identify and close talent gaps
Lead HRIS efforts
Drive change management initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness
Utilize data and analytics to inform talent decisions and measure outcomes
Lead efforts associated with branding of initiatives to support engagement
Perform special projects as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years in progressive learning and development leadership roles
Minimum 7 years management experience preferred
Bachelors in related field required; MBA preferred
Understanding and use of technology in the areas of Microsoft Advanced platforms, such as Power BI, Power Automate and Power Apps
Proven track record of success leading in a large, complex global organization that is ever-changing in a transformational environment
Execution-focused mindset that demonstrates a bias for action and urgency
Strong project manager with a keen understanding of process and interdependencies often associated with working in a matrixed and global company
Demonstrated ability to deliver on key priorities with a sense of urgency
Communication that is honest and open that drives results
Proven track record of implementing recognition programs
Strong experience with Talent Management configuring HRIS systems
Proven experience in performance management processes that drive a pay-for-performance culture
Experience integrating Learning Management Systems and marketing its usage
Experience in leading diversity, equity and inclusion
Strong background in organizational development and change management.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to align talent management strategies with business goals.
