Family Health Services is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides quality, affordable primary care, dental, and behavioral health services. Our “high touch, high tech” clinics offer unique patient-focused care to anyone in the community, regardless of their ability to pay. We are rapidly growing in Sandusky, Ohio at our two locations as well as in Norwalk, Ohio and surrounding areas.The Psychiatrist will provide outpatient psychiatric, diagnostic, and therapeutic services in a primary care setting. Fulfill collaborative physician relationship with psychiatric nurse practitioners for all behavioral health locations.Essential Functions
Conducts psychiatric intake and follow-up examinations.Makes diagnoses and prescribes medication and psychotherapy.Participates in behavioral health conferences and recommends appropriate treatment approaches.Confers with patients’ relatives regarding illness and treatment.Participates in weekly management meetings.Assists through consultation in establishing psychiatric programs and policies.Keeps medical records and prepares psychiatric reports.Completes other duties as assigned.Utilizes face-to-face and telehealth/virtual appointments.Required Skills/Abilities
Board certified in adult and pediatric psychiatry preferred.Knowledge of general medicine and psychiatry; current developments in the field of psychiatry and clinic organization, management, and procedures.Ability to skillfully diagnose and treat severely and persistently mentally ill patients.Ability to analyze situations and adopt an effective course of action.Ability to prepare records and reports.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.Ability to maintain objectivity and confidentiality.General Employee Expectations

Board certified or board eligible in adult Psychiatry; secondary certification in pediatrics preferred.MD or DO license in the state of Ohio.DEA Certificate.Work Authorization/Security Clearance
