We are seeking an Electrical Engineer/Designer who will be responsible for assisting in the design of building electrical systems such as power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, grounding, and special systems. The engineer will work in conjunction with mechanical and plumbing engineers on several HVAC projects simultaneously.
Primary Responsibilities:
Under the direction of a senior engineer, performs load calculations, equipment selections, and systems layouts.Participates in field surveys.Assists in the initial concept planning and review of system options.Performs lighting calculations in support of lighting systems design, including fixture selection and controls.Collaborates in the power distribution design, including riser diagrams and panel schedules.Designs fire alarm systems, including riser diagrams and devices layout.Provides support in the completion of construction documents, which include design and drafting of drawings and specifications for new buildings, renovations, and/or additions to existing facilities.Participates in the construction administration phase by assisting in shop drawings reviews and RFI responses.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.1-2 years of experience in electrical design.Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.Valid driver's license.If you are interested, please send your cover letter and resume to Chris Demetrakis at chrisd@csrecruiting.com.
