Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership, consultation and advice to the management staff on HR related issues.
• Consults with business unit management in the strategic planning process and development of human resources strategies that support the unit's business needs.
• Evaluates and approves all offers, transfers, promotions, salary adjustments for the business unit.
• Administers human resources policies and procedures. Advises employees and management on policy interpretation.
• Implements and provides coaching on Performance Management Program, Talent Reviews and Succession Planning.
• Uses knowledge of various human resources functions, including staffing, compensation, benefits, training and employee relations to provide strategic and tactical HR support to line managers.
• Responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, etc.
• Monitors current procedures/practices/guidelines to ensure as much standardization as possible throughout and across lines of business.
• Provides management assistance and training in compensation, performance evaluation, problem resolution, and Human Resources policy and procedures.
• Processes paperwork for functional area according to established procedures.
• Acts as a liaison to other human resources functions when necessary.
• Tracks turnover and provides analysis to management on a periodic basis.
• Ensures compliance with all legal and corporate guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Behaviors Required:
• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Business, Human Resources or related field with 6 - 8 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, speak, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit for long periods, reach with arms, and use close vision. At times, the employee is required to use a telephone, a keyboard and computer, and other office equipment. Work is typically performed in a moderately noisy business office.
