Senior Civil Designer

to join their team to take responsibility for clients’ project needs and maintain an active role from start to finish.The ideal candidate has civil engineering experience with water distribution, wastewater management, and roadways industries. The Civil Designer will be responsible for tasks related to creating site plans, managing stormwater, and implementing erosion control measures. This role requires working closely with engineers and technicians to develop innovative solutions for complex projects. The Civil Designer will also collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.Start date : As soon as they find the right personDuration:

Onsite in Katy, TXCompensation & benefits : $65-$70K, commensurate with skills and experienceABOUT THE COMPANY:Talimer's client has been providing high-quality civil engineering services for site development, public works, and urban infrastructure projects for almost 30 years. Their team specializes in water distribution, wastewater and sewage collection, drainage and flood control, roadways, and park and recreational facilities.RESPONSIBILITIES:Design Development:

Develop detailed civil engineering designs and plans using CAD software and other design tools. Ensure designs meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.Technical Analysis:

Perform technical analysis and calculations related to grading, drainage, and roadway design. Analyze site conditions and provide recommendations to optimize design efficiency.Project Coordination:

Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to integrate designs into larger project plans. Ensure that design work is consistent with project goals and timelines.Documentation:

Prepare and review technical reports, design drawings, and other documentation required for project approvals and construction. Maintain accurate records of design changes and project progress.Quality Assurance:

Conduct quality control checks on design work to ensure accuracy and compliance with engineering standards. Address any design issues or discrepancies promptly.Client Interaction:

Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide design solutions that meet their requirements. Present design concepts and updates as needed.Site Visits:

Conduct site visits to gather data, assess conditions, and verify that designs are implemented correctly during construction.ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Experience in civil engineering for water distribution, wastewater management, and roadways industries is highly preferredCivil engineering design and site planning skillsExperience with stormwater managementKnowledge of erosion control techniquesProficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3DStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasksAll candidates must be located and authorized to work in the United States.
