Position Summary:The Business Development Associate is responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow the company's business, provide excellent service This will be a multi-faceted position that ranges from social media marketing, event planning, branding campaigns and managing both new and existing customer relationships. The position will interact with all facets of the company and our partner carriers. As a result, it is essential that the candidate can multitask, work efficiently and with a high degree of organizational skill. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the insurance industry with existing wholesale broker relationships.

What will your job entail?

Essential Functions:Business development with wholesale insurance brokers.Assist with both internal and external event planning.Developing and implementing marketing strategies for both existing and prospective customer base.Developing new and fostering existing relationships with wholesale insurance producers to develop submission and quote activity.Assist with development of a comprehensive marketing plan to facilitate current business growth initiatives and execute the plan.Analyzing market trends to evaluate, develop and implement strategic plans to meet and exceed organizational goals.Work in unison with our RSUM team leaders in developing new and enhancing existing wholesale broker relationships.Assist wholesale brokers with connecting to the proper RT / RSG divisions based on customer needs.Assist with / handle customer complaints and solve customer problems accordingly.Education/Experience/Skills:

2+ years of work experience in insurance, business development, insurance sales or marketingBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Psychology or Business is preferredAvailable to travel up to 30%Must possess strong computer/technology/systems skills.Exceptional written and verbal communication and negotiation skills are required.Strong ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision.Critical attention to details.Proficiency in Microsoft Office including, but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel.Proven track record of being a team player.

The target salary range for this position is $62,000.00 - $81,375.00 annually.

The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
