We’re building a platform that matches leading apparel brands with the top tier of retail talent, on-demand.About This RoleAs the Head of Marketplace Operations, you will play a pivotal role in scaling our operations team and optimizing our marketplace processes to drive efficiency and growth. You will be responsible for managing a growing team of operations specialists, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, and strategically planning for scalability during peak periods. This role requires a blend of strong people management skills, operational expertise, and strategic thinking.What You Will Do:Team Leadership:
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing operations team. Provide coaching, guidance, and career development to team members.Operational Scalability:
Develop strategies to scale operations in line with company growth targets. Design and implement efficient processes and workflows to optimize marketplace operations.Tool Selection and Integration:
Evaluate, select, and implement operational tools and systems that enhance efficiency and productivity. Ensure seamless integration and provide training to team members as needed.Product Requirements:
Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to define operational requirements for new features and enhancements. Advocate for operational excellence in product design and development.Vendor and Partner Management:
Evaluate and manage third-party staffing solutions for peak times, ensuring alignment with operational goals and quality standards.Performance Metrics:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the marketplace operations team. Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiency.Continuous Improvement:
Lead initiatives to continuously improve operational processes, workflows, and team performance. Foster a culture of innovation, efficiency, and accountability within the operations team.What You Should Have:Experience:
Proven experience (8+ years) in a leadership role within operations, preferably in a marketplace environment. Experience in scaling operations and managing new managers a plus.People Management:
Strong leadership and people management skills with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams. Ability to inspire and motivate team members towards achieving common goals.Operational Expertise:
Deep understanding of operational processes, workflows, and best practices. Experience in process optimization and scalability planning.Strategic Thinker:
Ability to think strategically and translate business goals into actionable plans. Experience in aligning operational strategies with overall company objectives.Tool Selection and Integration:
Experience in evaluating, selecting, and implementing operational tools and systems as well as partnering with internal product and engineering teams on requirements.Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and customer support.Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
