The Audio Media Technology (AMT) is at the center of Apple’s innovative products, including the Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods, Apple TV, macOS, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS. AMT’s Core Audio team provides audio foundation for various high-profile features like Siri, phone calls, FaceTime, media capture, playback, and APIs for third-party developers to enrich our platforms. The Audio & Media Technologies group in Apple’s Software Engineering organization is looking for passionate individuals to help build the next generation of Home Products focused on delivering the best audio experience for both casual users and professionals. This individual will be involved in developing system drivers at mid to low level in Apple’s audio software stack.

In this exciting role, you will work cross-functionally with hardware design experts, system software engineers, digital signal processing algorithm engineers, and designers to create the infrastructure and systems that enable audio playback across Apple’s ecosystem. You will help develop new features from conception to release, with an eye toward Apple’s high standards for user experience, quality, and performance. Minimum Qualifications
Excellent software design/programming skills in Objective-C and/or C/C++. A passion for understanding end-to-end systems, from the user experience down to the hardware. Experience in debugging techniques and triaging using tools to analyze signals, interrupts, and other electronic signals. BS or MS in Computer Science or other related field or equivalent. Experience with HDMI Audio spec and LPCM/Encoded IEC formats is a plus. Education & Experience

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
