Job Description:

Postdoctoral researcher in experimental biophysics in Kelleher lab at Syracuse University. Description of the lab’s research at

Kelleher Lab .

Start date:

Flexible.

Qualifications:

PhD in physics, quantitative cell biology, or related field.

Responsibilities:

Conduct in-person research in Kelleher Lab at Syracuse University’s BioInspired Institute.

Obtain and culture in vitro living mouse and human oocytes and embryos.

Develop novel experimental methods, including quantitative imaging, physical manipulation, and molecular perturbation of oocytes and embryos.

Develop theoretical models and perform computer simulations of the mechanical properties of spindles and chromosomes.

Design new experimental protocols, acquire experimental data, interpret and analyze collected data, write manuscripts, and provide input for new grant applications.

Assist with mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.

Other duties as assigned.
