San Jose, CAJob Duties:Develop and implement new user-facing features in eBay's software applications using JavaScript/TypeScript with the MarkoJS/React framework, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and intuitive user experiences.Utilize development environments such as Visual Studio Code and IntelliJ IDEA for coding and debugging.Design and run end-to-end tests using tools such as JavaScript/TypeScript and Playwright or Java and TestNG to ensure the system's stability and compatibility across diverse environments.Author and execute unit tests using JavaScript and Jest to validate feature functionalities.Utilize BrowserStack and Percy to enhance testing processes and capture visual inconsistencies.Proactively monitor production environments and triage emerging software bugs using tools like Chrome Developer Tools, iPhone Simulator, and Android Device Manager.Assign detected bugs to appropriate teams or colleagues for resolution or take direct actions to resolve them when applicable.Coordinate with other software development teams to facilitate the integration of interconnected features and ensure seamless user experiences.Draft detailed technical documentation for new features and system components, ensuring that knowledge is preserved and easily accessible for future reference and onboarding purposes.Stay abreast of emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools in the software development field and seek opportunities for improvement.Minimum Requirements:Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science.Special Skill Requirements:HTML/CSS/JavaScript: Use HTML/CSS/JavaScript to implement web applications.Python: Use Python for data analysis and automation.Git/GitHub: Manage code version control and team collaboration through Git/GitHub.CI/CD: Automate software builds and deployments using CI/CD pipelines.Agile software development: Deliver timely features using Agile methodologies.Object-oriented programming: Design modular software with object-oriented principles.Software implementation: Turn designs and requirements into functional software components.Software testing: Ensure software reliability and performance through thorough testing.Database Systems: Design relational databases, optimize queries, and manage data integrity.Problem Solving: Develop innovative solutions to novel computer science challenges.Base salary:
