The Vice President of Business Development for KC Logistics is responsible for managing all aspects of the sales and pricing operations. This position will manage relationships with key customers, help create and drive the sales strategy, and will help build and oversee the automotive logistics pricing strategy.Location: Carleton, MIJob Duties/Responsibilities

Coordinate and execute strategic and operational pricing and sales activities in conjunction with the President.Collaborate with executive-level management in the development of sales performance goals and long-term sales plans.Lead all contractual negotiations with customers (both inbound and outbound automotive transportation logistics).Monitor all contracts for efficiency and performance.Determine and recommend pricing strategy for all business lines.Oversee the customer support process in order to enhance customer satisfaction; develop relationships with key customer contacts for each location.Revise and/or formulate sales policies that improve company performance.Manage and develop 1 Contracts Manager.Identify and revise key sales metrics for efficient operations on a weekly basis.Communicate and explain new directives, policies, or procedures; for major changes, meet with entire staff to ensure a seamless transition to new processes.Job Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Planning and project management skills.Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with close attention to detail.Ability to manage confidential information.Proven ability to plan and manage sales/pricing processes for maximum efficiency and productivity.Extensive and diversified background with at least 10 years of related experience.Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business administration or related field.Automotive transportation background is preferred.Travel via car and airline.Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Ability to talk and hear to enable effective communication.
