We now have a global workforce across a host of storied brands, spanning all areas of produced and live entertainment, from film, television, streaming, to advertising, live events, and short-form.AccountantRegular Full-TimePosition OverviewThe Accountant plays a crucial role in supporting specific business divisions and is responsible for monthly close tasks, financial reporting, bank account reconciliations, and assisting with audits and special projects.Core ResponsibilitiesPerform necessary entries required for the monthly closing of the assigned business divisions.Analyze and record lending activities, including maintaining loan schedules for the lending business.Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, including budget/forecast comparisons and prior period analyses.Conduct bank account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.Perform monthly reconciliations for selected GL accounts, addressing non-cash items.Assist with the preparation of schedules required for the external financial audit and tax preparation.Serve as a key contact for auditors' inquiries, providing necessary information and documentation.Create and update desktop procedures for all assigned tasks, ensuring consistent and efficient processes.Contribute to various ad hoc projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.Key QualificationsAn undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Proficiency in top-tier ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar.Strong command of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel, including IF statements, Macros, Pivots, and VLOOKUP.A minimum of 3 years' experience in a structured accounting department.Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.Capable of organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks to meet daily deadlines.Preferred QualificationsExperience in the financial services (e.g., banking) industry is a plus.Prior experience with a Big 4 CPA firm or large national firm is preferred.Special Work ConditionsSedentary – Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.
