Advanced Microscopy Account Manager

, covering the states of Washington, Idaho, and Alaska.

The candidate should be based out of the Seattle area.Product coverage includes advanced microscopy solutions within the Life Sciences market.This is an exciting and rewarding role for someone who loves: microscopy and imaging, science and technology, helping scientists solve their research problems, driving a strategic sales process, and communicating complex topics. We are looking for someone with the unique combination of scientific knowledge and credibility, excellent communication skills, an aptitude for business and sales, and research microscopy experience. If this sounds like you – please get in touch.Key Responsibilities:Sales and support of microscopy and imaging products within the life sciences marketWork as a team with Product Specialists to achieve sales targets by managing all aspects of the sales cycle; including: prospecting, customer needs-assessment, follow-up, quotation preparation, demonstration, closing, and follow up customer supportDevelop a deep understanding of customer microscopy applications and challenges and make authoritative recommendations on solutionsProvide demonstrations, installation and training for end customersCollaborate with Product Specialists on high end instrument product demonstrations and customer training sessionsConduct on site professional customer meetings and product demonstrationsWorking with Product Specialists, respond to institutional RFPs and Tenders in a proficient and timely mannerMaintain professional and constructive relationships with colleagues to ensure positive sharing of and collaboration on: product information and feedback, scientific application updates, sales strategies, and general market updates.Be active with self-directed learning regarding microscopy technology/applications, and sales/business practices using extensive company resourcesWork with Product Management to recommend product improvements, and to further increase product marketabilityMaintain demonstration equipment to ensure it is kept in excellent conditionMaintain sales opportunity information within company CRM software to ensure management has accurate sales pipeline informationEssential Requirements:University Degree within the science field. Advanced Degree in life sciences highly preferred.A high degree knowledge and experience with life sciences microscopy and its applications. Experience with advanced techniques such as confocal and fluorescence microscopy is preferred.A high degree of computer literacy is required. Must be proficient within a Windows environment: Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Ability to adapt and learn new software is key.Must exhibit a strong ability to work in a team environmentHighly developed organizational and project management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills. Should be comfortable presenting complex topics to groups.Must be fully fluent in EnglishAbility to travel overnight up to 30% of the timeRequires a valid current drivers licenseMust be authorized to work in the United States
