Our Helena office is a short walk to Downtown Helena and the Great Northern Town Center featuring great local coffee shops, eateries, craft breweries, a wine bar, a distillery, and handmade ice cream.Why Should You Apply?Live your values and put your passion or degree to work by working for a non-profit law firm who gives a voice to the underserved in our legal system.Great benefits, generous leave, and competitive pay.Areas of Responsibility:Specific Duties:Oversee all MLSA finances, including payroll, accounts payable, invoicing, and reimbursements.Oversee the finance department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and functions.Supervise the Deputy Director of Finance and Benefits & Payroll Manager.Coordinate the development and monitoring of budgets.Develop financial business plans and forecasts.Develop short-, medium-, and long-term financial plans and projections.Requirements:A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree; a CPA and/or MBA would be a plus.At least five years of experience as a Finance Director/CFO or equivalent, preferably in a nonprofit organization with a budget of at least $5 million.Experience in a senior financial-management role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies.Significant experience in or knowledge of nonprofit accounting, including sophisticated fund and grant accounting, compliance, and reporting.Deep knowledge and understanding of the Office of Management & Budget Uniform Guidance.The Position:
We’re looking for a Director of Finance to be based in MLSA’s Helena office. The pay range is $85,000-$105,000, depending on experience.MLSA has a full-time, 35 hour work week.MLSA offers company-paid health, dental, vision and life insurance; an educational loan repayment assistance program; a 403(b) retirement plan; and eligibility for a health reimbursement or health savings account with a yearly contribution from MLSA in the amount of $1,600 (prorated by start date).We also offer a generous paid leave package, including annual leave, sick leave, and a wellness leave program.And if you move from another town in Montana to join us, we offer up to $500 for relocation reimbursement (or $1,000 if you move from out of state).How to Apply:
