We are recruiting for a motivated professional to join our Business Development team as an associate, located in our Boston office. Working closely with our investment banking industry and Market Intelligence teams, you will develop and execute business development call campaigns into prospective clients. Operating as our initial point of contact to these targets, you will be required to coordinate with Market Intelligence and Investment Banking team members on market list development, outbound marketing and communications, email campaigns, knowledge capture, opportunity qualification, banker/prospect introductions, and client meetings and follow-up.Primary Responsibilities:Develop campaign materials including interfacing with the investment bankers across all sectorsMake outbound cold calls to prospective banking clientsResearch and develop business leads by sourcing and qualifying market lists, acquisitions and investment targets via telephone, email, Linked-In and in-person meetingsRespond to prospect queries via coordination with research, operations and investment banking teamsQuarterback the deal capture process through the formal Engagement AgreementDraft relevant and thorough briefing notes for investment teams in advance of client meetingsBuild and maintain all prospect activities in the CRM databaseAttend ad-hoc client and partner meetingsQualifications/Requirements:Four-year degree in business, economics, finance, accounting or similarTwo to three years of client interfacing experience within the financial industry (cold calling experience preferred)A passion for developing new relationships with business owners and CEO’sIndependent, self-motivated individual who also excels collaborating with colleaguesGood knowledge of the financial markets with interest to learn more about private company M&ATeam player with flexibility to adapt and grow as responsibilities increaseAbility to contribute to regular group discussions and express ideas clearlyExceptional written and interpersonal communication skills are criticalExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPointIf FINRA licenses not held already, will be required to pass the FINRA SIE, 79 and 63 exams (where required)Must be authorized to work in the United States – E-Verify EmployerAbout CapstoneCapstone Partners is one of the largest and most active investment banking firms in the U.
