Salary is also commensurate with professional experience.DUTIESServe as an attorney and ethics counselor within the Ethics and Integrity Unit (EIU), supporting the FBI's Deputy Designated Agency Ethics Official (DDAEO) responsibilities and related requirements, including implementing the ethics standards established by federal conflict of interest statutes; Office of Government Ethics (OGE) regulations; DOJ supplementary regulations; as well as the FBI's Code of Conduct, Ethics, Integrity and Core Value Programs, and any related policies and procedures.Review, research, and advise (in writing and orally), as well as train, FBI employees on such ethics standards and related matters.Review, and advise accordingly, on confidential and public financial disclosure reports.Plan, perform, collaborate, and complete self-identified or assigned work on such ethics standards and related matters.Support, as needed, the Compliance Program.Establish and maintain effective relationships with FBI leadership, its employees, DOJ officials, other members of the law enforcement and intelligence community, as well as industry partners, on such ethics standards and related matters.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCEGS 14: Applicants applying for the GS-14 must also have 2.5 or more years post J.D. attorney experience, to include the following:Experience in analytical and evaluative methods/techniques for assessing program development for executing and improving organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Experience providing advice on a variety of ethics and standards of conduct issues including, but not limited to, gifts, conflicts of interest, political activities, teaching speaking-writing activities, travel, outside employment, employee involvement misuse of position, ethics training requirements, financial disclosure reporting, and misuse of government time and property. Experience in the substantive nature of agency programs and activities, missions, policies/objectives, management principles/processes.GS 15: Applicants applying for the GS-15 must also have 5 or more years of post J.D. attorney experience, to include the following:Provide expert legal and policy advice and audience to the highest level of FBI management on ethics and standards of conduct issues.KEY REQUIREMENTSMust be a U.S. citizen.Must have (or be able to obtain) a valid driver’s license.Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.Must be willing to travel as required.Must meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENTIAL REQUIREMENTSEDUCATIONAll applicants must possess a law degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association and be an active member if the bar (any US jurisdiction).All degrees must be verified by submitting college transcripts.The FBI is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for this vacancy.
