Job Overview:
Plan and implement treatment in coordination with multidisciplinary team for all scopes of Cardiac patients.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology required
One to three years of clinical experience
Preferred:
Certifications and Licenses Required (if applicable):
Certification preferred (e.g., ACSM, ACE-Clinical Specialist, NSCS, Clinical Exercise Physiology)
ACLS and BLS-certified
Scheduling Requirements:
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Full-Time
Essential Functions:
Perform exercise instructions to all cardiac patients.
Assess and service patients/members to meet the established program guidelines.
Assist in the supervision of students and volunteers.
Assist in the development and implementation of hospital cardiac rehab/fitness programs.
Implement policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services.
Ensure that fitness equipment is well maintained and minimizes downtime.
Identify patients' educational needs.
Educate internal and external customers on the practice & guidelines of cardiovascular disease, rehabilitation, and exercise prescription.
Monitor adequate and appropriate patient exercise sessions/treatments.
Participate in the interdisciplinary patient/member teaching process.
Perform clinical exercise prescription for monitored/non-monitored cardiac rehab patients.
Record statistical information for manager as assigned and document patient treatment as required by hospital regulations.
