Team Overview:
The HIE (Health Information Exchange) consists of different development teams working with InterSystems HealthShare as the core application. Our HIE development team is responsible for building custom solutions using the InterSystems stack of technologies, Cloud Services (Mainly focused on Microsoft Azure), Custom tools using Java/Dot Net/Python/JavaScript frameworks. We keep expanding our team's knowledge area and leverage the best of the industry available technologies to keep the system up-to-date with healthcare industry needs.
Position Summary:
The primary purpose of this role is to perform Technical and Functional Specification, Design, Coding, Testing, Documentation in the areas of Development, Maintenance and Support of Health Information Exchange.
Responsibilities:
Design and development solutions using InterSystems stack of technologies – Primary Ensemble (aka Intersystems IRIS for Health) and InterSystems HealthShareAttend scrum meetings and any other meetings defined by the managerWorking with business stakeholders for requirement gatheringIdentify and articulate design methodology and best practicesDevelop end-to-end solutions, participate for the code-review, unit test and deployDocumentation of technical design and functionalityProvide support during testing and participate in go-live meetingsProvide after hours On-call support [rotational calendar]Learn, Design and develop solutions using Intersystems HealthShare
Required Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred4-8+ years' experience as Software Engineer; preferred for the Healthcare setting3+ years' experience with Ensemble with custom components development, HL7 interfaces (FTP, File, TCP), SQL Adapter, Custom DTLs3+ years' experience with Cache Objects and Cache Object Script3+ years' experience with scalable and secure cloud solution design and development using best practices2+ years' design and development experience with REST/SOAP API development2+ years' experience with HL7v21+ years' experience with XML/XSLT1+ years' experience with CCD/CDA
Good to have Experience:
HL7 FHIRInterSystems HealthShare/UCR with understanding of SDA structureSQL concepts with Intersystems Cache/IRISHealth Insight/Active Analytics, HealthShare Patient Index, HealthShare Provider DirectoryExperience of working in highly dynamic teams using agile methodologiesMicrosoft Azure with CosmosDB, BLOB storage, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, ARM Template, Service Bus, Google BigQuery, Google WorkflowOther programming languages like C#, Python, JavaScript or JavaScript Frameworks
