Overview

VIOTAS is currently looking for a Business Development Manager. Your role will be to identify potential customers and present to them a complex energy solution in a manner that gives them peace of mind. In turn, helping the commercial team achieve and exceed their sales and growth targets, while ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty is maintained.

We are looking for candidates who know how to challenge the status quo within businesses by introducing new and innovative energy solutions that grow businesses revenues and supports their sustainability credentials. This Role will be based in our North American headquarters in Houston, Texas. While primarily desk-based, travel to customer sites across Texas is required to perform the role.

Key Responsibilities

Lead generation and prospecting.Identifying and creating new business opportunities with potential customers.Driving sales through links with industry partners and participating resellers.Carrying out preliminary assessment of sites for their Demand Response potential.Preparing and delivering presentations, proposals and sales contracts.Closing sales and achieving sales targets.Accurately reporting on sales progress.Developing and maintaining consultative relationships with client base.Participating in seminars, trade shows and other suitable marketing opportunities.Essential Requirements

A background in sales, and demonstrable history of success in sales.Knowledge of ERCOT energy & ancillary service markets.5+ years' experience in relevant sector, ideally demand response, electrical systems and/or power generation.Degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant disciplines may be considered.Excellent verbal and written communication skills - demonstrable relationship-building experience amongst a range of stakeholders.Strong quantitative and analytical capability, both technical and commercial.Professionalism - articulate, innovative and client-service orientated.Self-motivated individual with integrity and the ability to be office-based and to work remotely.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ambition to develop as a market-leading sales professional.Desirable

Existing relationships with Texas-based industrial and commercial consumers.Familiarity or experience in demand response and demand-side management.Knowledge of the electricity supply industry, energy consumption, and efficiency measures.Benefits:
