GardaWorld Security Services is looking for a Data Scientist to support our Business Intelligence team at our headquarters in St. Louis, MO.Position OverviewAs a Data Scientist specializing in Business Intelligence, you will play a crucial role in analyzing complex datasets, developing actionable insights, and providing strategic recommendations to key stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with Business Intelligence and other cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities, enhance operational efficiency, and drive competitive advantage through data-driven decision-making.Principal Functional ResponsibilitiesAnalyze large, complex datasets using advanced statistical methods, machine learning techniques, and data visualization tools to uncover key insights and trends.Develop predictive models, algorithms, and forecasting techniques to optimize business processes, improve performance, and drive revenue growth.Design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes to collect, cleanse, and transform raw data into actionable insights for business users.Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, define KPIs, and develop custom reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support their decision-making needs.Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and correlations that can inform strategic initiatives and drive business outcomes.Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science, business intelligence, and analytics, and share knowledge with the team to foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.Proven experience (3 yrs) as a Data Scientist or similar role, with a focus on business intelligence and analytics.Solid Mathematical Foundation: A good understanding of statistics, linear algebra, calculus, and probability theory is essential for data scientists to develop and interpret machine learning models effectively.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL, with experience using data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques.Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib to create interactive dashboards and reports.Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for driving business value through data-driven decision-making.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.Certifications in data science, machine learning, or business intelligence (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate).All qualified applicants will be considered for employment without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, color, age, religion, or national origin.
