As our next

EHS Manager , reporting to our Head of Operations for Chicago, you will direct and support management of all environmental, health and safety functions for our Carol Stream site in compliance with our EHS policies and processes, and with all applicable EHS regulations. You will manage risk and lead cultural change to reduce the probability of EHS incidents. You will also improve the EHS organization to deliver added value while promoting the EHS culture.

This position is located in Carol Stream, IL.

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for:Support and advise site management on all EHS aspects; act as a coach to line managers to ensure that EHS becomes and remains a line responsibilityDeploy EHS vision aligned with company strategy for the site, taking into account both the OPS/EHS Global strategy and programs and the local legislationManage compliance with all EHS RegulationsResponsible for all Site EHS trainings for our employees and contractorsDeploy behavior-based safety programsEnsure safety and Health programs are strictly implementedEnsure emergency planning is effectiveComplete and submit regulatory reportsEnsure KPI reporting is complete and initiate actions to move towards the agreed targetsTrack site safety behavioral audits and incidents, analyze trends on audits, incidents and near-miss reports and report same to management teamLead the "employee safety committee" to promote safety awareness and improve the safety of the site by leading issues identified to closureManage all hazardous and non-hazardous waste activitiesManage all documentation requiredMaintain good relationships with relevant external partners (authorities, communities, or networks)Be a primary contact for Federal, State, and local EHS regulatory agenciesBe the main point of contact with other departments. Regulatory, IT, and regional Management Team

Technical Skills:Fluent EnglishHazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control, Root Cause AnalysisProcess Safety ManagementAuditH+S ManagementEmergency Management

Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, EHS or another related field7+ years experience in the industry and prior experience in an EHS plantAppropriate country EHS qualifications and certifications

Additional Experience:Master's degree in chemistry, Engineering, EHS or another related field
