Requirements / QualificationsWater Polo JV Head Coach Position is currently being offered at Napa High School. Candidates should be experienced in the sport, have coaching experience and a resume of working with student-athletes at the high school level. The following qualifications must be in place:Minimum of previous high school coaching experience in Water Polo either as the Varsity or JV assistant coach.Applicants will be required to obtain First Aid/CPR, NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching, NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest, NFHS Concussion in Sports and NFHS Heat and Illness prevention.All other Napa Valley Unified School District Human Resources required documents.The season begins in August and runs through October; however, some off-season activities are expected. The Water Polo Girls JV Head Coach receives a stipend at the end of the season.Must be willing and able to work with our NHS staff, student athletes, parents, administration, and Napa High Athletic Booster Club. Must have basic knowledge of the following:Character-building aspects of sports, including techniques and methods of teaching and reinforcing the core values comprising sportsmanship and good character;Knowledge of physical capacities and limitations of the age group coached;Coaching principles related to educational philosophy, adolescent psychology, nutrition, risk management and the rules and strategies of the sport.All candidates who wish to be considered can apply through Ed Join.
