AASHTOWare Project Active Reports Developer and Data Analytics Technical Specialist
This position will serve as the Technical Specialist/Expert SME for AASHTOWare Project's ActiveReports tool and Data Analytics module, responsible for defining system specifications that migrate existing DOT processes and legacy applications to a modern web-based solution. This individual should have a strong general knowledge of application development and architecture principles and will serve as an expert on AWP modules/products.Responsibilities include:Ensuring team comprehension of technical and functional concepts while supporting team Product Managers.Documenting NCDOT use cases specific to any AWP module or Business Use Case that requires reporting or other analytics tools.Developing Use Cases, Test Cases, Test Scripts, and UX modifications using XML.Creating reports using SQL and utilizing the AWP embedded version of the Grape City development tool within an Agile development team that uses AzureDev/Ops software.Governance of quality for reports, Data Analytics tools, queries, dashboards, and associated visualizations, ensuring high-quality outputs and reducing technical debt.Providing technical research, troubleshooting, and support for the development team and DOT Businesses.Collaborating with development teams on integrations with other legacy NCDOT applications and systems (SAP/SharePoint, etc.).Meeting with NCDOT leaders to gather intelligence, demonstrate system capabilities, and provide support.Working with analysts to break down designs into milestones and work items, tracking status, managing communication and dependencies to both the technical team and business customers.Coordinating test validation and rollout for functional components, ensuring customers are informed and trained with sufficient help and training materials.Preferences include familiarity and experience with:AASHTOWare Project Preconstruction, CRL, and Data Analytics modules.DOT preconstruction, letting, certified payroll processes, and post-bid market analysis.Building complex analytics queries and dashboards.Business analysis, agile development conventions such as SCRUM, and general familiarity with the Agile development lifecycle in a state-level Department of Transportation (DOT).This individual will work directly for the NCDIT-Transportation Letting and Compliance Systems (LCS) manager and will be responsible to the respective team leads for daily work assignments. Filling this position is critical to maintain the current level of support for these applications.Requirements
