JFC Global is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead our food manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to industry standards and company goals. This role involves managing manufacturing processes, overseeing quality assurance, and supervising a diverse team.Key Responsibilities:Develop and oversee food manufacturing processes for efficiency and consistency.Align process improvements with corporate objectives and ensure quality and capacity.Supervise engineers, technicians, and toolmakers.Design and Development:Design and build tooling and fixtures for prototypes, pre-series, and production.Enhance existing parts and develop engineering samples for food products.Testing and Reporting:Conduct feasibility tests for prototypes and samples, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.Complete Process Development forms and contribute to process optimization.Tool Shop Management:Operate and maintain tool shop equipment; manage inventory and reordering.Oversee ECN verification and approval.Equipment Maintenance:Maintain and troubleshoot food manufacturing equipment; manage part packaging and labeling.Technical Support:Provide technical support to Production, Quality, and Maintenance departments to uphold food safety and operational efficiency.Quality Assurance Management:Ensure product safety and quality, meeting food industry standards and regulatory requirements.Manage the plant laboratory, ensuring supplies and equipment availability.Conduct inspections, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.Lead training on GMPs and PRPs for plant employees.Supervisory Responsibilities:Manage and develop the Quality Assurance and Engineering teams, including performance management and hiring.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in the food industry.Knowledge of sanitation, GMPs, and food safety regulations.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in the dairy industry, sensory evaluation, and Continuous Improvement processes.Master’s degree in Food Science or related field.Food Handlers Certificate (to be obtained within 30 days).
