We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless, Bell’s Autonomous Pod Transport (APT), and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold tilt-rotor. This position is onsite in Fort Worth, TX in our testing lab.DRIVE SYSTEMS TEST LAB (DSTL)Bring your own mechanical experience and ideas to help us support the flight test and fatigue test environments at Bell.You’ll work with other technicians and engineers at Bell to assemble aircraft components and complete testing for component validation. These components will be used on flight aircraft as well as in dynamic test machines.This role is an integral part of the testing team at Bell, working to further improve component lives and certification activities across multiple platforms.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING AS A DRIVE SYSTEMS TEST LAB (DSTL) TECHNICIAN (Associate Technician)You will be accountable for care and proper load application on various aircraft and test components following Engineering Laboratory Operating Procedures and Engineering Instructions. This includes record keeping, documentation, and helicopter component assembly/installation.You will be building and maintaining test stand configurations, building test specimens, performing testing, and documenting and photographing results.You will be responsible for completion of tasks within a set budget and schedule, as defined by management.An DSTL technician interacts with test engineers and other laboratory technicians to ensure that assigned DSTL test program requirements in the lab facilities are fulfilled. This individual also interacts with personnel in other laboratories to ensure a coordinated effort is maintained. In addition, you will also interact with Manufacturing, Transportation, Maintenance, Quality, Dispatching, Tooling and various other departments of Bell to ensure continued support of assigned tasks.SKILLS YOU BRING TO THIS ROLE:Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, reports, specifications, and engineering instructions to care for, install and properly load dynamic components.Strong mechanical skills, especially as related to aircraft components.Strong communication and organization skills to properly relay and document results and procedures.Good communication skills to build and maintain effective relationships with the DSTL and other departments at Bell.Familiarity with hydraulics.WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:We are looking for inquisitive and driven technicians with a passion to innovate.Associate’s Degree, Technical School training certification, military training in mechanical systems repair and overhaul or at least 2 years specific mechanical test lab experience.Have your own set of mechanics hand tools.An A&P License is preferred.WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Able to lift 25 pounds.Able to stand for at least 9 hours.WHAT WE OFFER YOU IN RETURNYou’ll be off every other Friday with our 9/80 work schedule.80 hours of Personal Time Off (PTO).120 hours Vacation time.12-13 paid holidays per year.6 weeks parental leave.Competitive salary.On-site clinic, pharmacy, physical therapy, and licensed counselor.Access to more than 11 Employee Resource Groups.And so much more.It’s time to make your mark on the future of aviation.
