The Director of Learning & Engagement plays a vital role in driving our mission to connect people to contemporary art and artists through exhibitions, education, experiences, programs, and projects.
In this dynamic role, you will design and execute innovative educational programs, workshops, and community outreach initiatives that spark curiosity, foster creativity, and promote inclusivity. You will collaborate closely with the Museum curator, Director of Public Programs, SVMoA Learning & Engagement educators, contract instructors, and community partners to develop engaging curricula, interpretive materials, and measurable learning goals aligned with the Museum’s exhibitions.
Qualifications
4-6 years of progressive experience in museum education, K-12 education, community engagement, or a relevant discipline
Proven ability to develop and deliver innovative, inclusive, and impactful educational programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for public speaking and storytelling
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders
Proficiency in project management, budgeting, and data analysis
Familiarity with current trends and best practices in museum education and community engagement
