for details.Job SummaryInstalls, modifies, maintains, and makes repairs to personal computer hardware and software systems and audiovisual (AV) equipment and provides technical assistance and training to system users. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job.Install or assist service personnel in installation of computer and/or Mac hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, scanners, network cards (including wireless) and disk drives. Install and support specific software packages such as operating systems, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Suite.Respond to inquiries and troubleshoot user reports concerning system operations and diagnose system hardware, software, or user problems. Recommend or perform actions to correct the problem either through remote control software or an office visit.Recommend and/or perform minor and/or major remedial actions to correct problems. May provide assistance with entry level network tasks and systems administration such as network server backup rotation, network account maintenance, and activation of data jacks.Develop, setup, and replace equipment for instructor stations in multi-media classrooms.Perform minor repairs, servicing, and maintenance of AV equipment. Set up and operate AV equipment and schedule equipment use.Coordinate setup and provide technical support for Microsoft Teams.Provide updates, status, and completion information to the Manager, IT Client Services and/or Director IT, problem request tracking system, and/or users.Provide basic instruction in the use of equipment or software to the user.Maintain training laptops and portable projection equipment.Inspect service personnel's computer equipment and configure new systems for delivery to faculty, staff, and labs. Provide classroom setups.Use imaging software for implementation of new systems, reassignments, or lab systems.Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of online hardware inventory system.Assist in implementation of new technology.Work with team members to review and streamline current processes and participate in implementation of changes.Perform other duties as assigned, including afterhours support when needed for events.Job Qualifications
