We are looking for a talented and passionate candidate who would support one of our clients located in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.
CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AN ACTIVE TS/SCI WITH POLYGRAPH TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION.
Job Description:
Responsible for the design and development of voice, video, radio frequency, and/or data communications networks.
Configure, deploy, and manage load balancing tools, firewalls, email security appliances, and web proxies.
Develop and implement security policies and procedures in accordance with industry best practices and organizational requirements for security policy implementation.
Monitor SecDev tools for performance and security logs to identify and respond to potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Participate in security incident response activities, including the investigation, documentation, and remediation of security incidents.
Conduct regular network security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Manage F5s, firewalls, email security appliances and web proxy firmware upgrades and patches to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure.
Work closely with other IT and security teams to design and implement network security solutions.
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of firewall configurations, changes, and network diagrams.
Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to boundary devices to ensure they are up to date with the latest security features and firmware.
8 hours per day (Mon-Fri). Ability to work on-call rotation as needed. Specific shift agreed upon between employee and supervisor.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree with 14 years experience or HS/GED with 19 years experience in systems engineering.
Ability to work on call rotation as needed.
Communication Skills.
Creative Problem Solving.
Experience with network security concepts and technologies.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, SSL/TLS, and related protocols.
(Candidate shall have appropriate certification in compliance with the requirements of the DoD 8570 Information Assurance Category IAT Level II. CompTIA Security+ CE.)
