RETS Associates, on behalf of our client, a private real estate investment company, to recruit a
Vice President (VP)
in Walnut Creek, CA. The firm has approximately $1B AUM across all product types with a focus on core and value-added opportunities in Western markets. Reporting to the President, the VP will work on a team that will source and execute new acquisitions, and asset manage a portfolio of Commercial and Multifamily investments. The candidate should have a minimum of 6 years of industry experience, and proven experience working on acquisitions and dispositions. Familiarity with Industrial and/or Multifamily assets in core West Coast markets a plus.Responsibilities:Be an integral part of a lean deal team focused on sourcing, underwriting, and executing Multifamily and Industrial assets across the Western U.S.Work with a team to perform the due diligence, coordinate third-party reports, evaluate the market, compile the financial underwriting, and compose the Investment Summary for review by the Board of Directors.Interface with Leadership team regarding market conditions, investment strategies, and deal pipeline.Oversee property management, third party leasing, and disposition activities for each of their assigned investments.Create and execute asset level business plans which can include Property Management, Leasing, and Capital Projects.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Real Estate, or similar.6-15 years of industry experience acquiring a variety of asset types across the Western U.S. Asset Management experience highly preferred.Strong financial modeling skills including understanding of financial concepts used to evaluate investments and build models.Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, great team player.Ability to travel throughout the Western U.S. to tour assets.
