We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant for our Chicago office. Full time 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Review vendor bills for accuracy, enter them in the accounting system, and process payments in a timely manner.Review vendor statements, investigate and resolve any discrepancies.Reconcile credit card transactions daily – high volume.Perform monthly bank account reconciliations – high volume.Review and approve positive pay exceptions.Provide supporting documentation for audits.Act as backup for biweekly payroll processing including timecard management.Complete ad-hoc analysis requests quickly while maintaining integrity and accuracy of data.What You Need:
Ability to stay organized and prioritize tasks.Ability to communicate with vendors and colleagues effectively.Confidentiality.Proficient with Microsoft Office. Highly skilled in using Excel; vlook-up, sumif, and pivot functions.Preferred: Minimum one to three years of experience in Accounting.Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree or higher.What You'll Enjoy:
