Munich Re Specialty Group North America (MRSG N.A.) is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join us as we grow. As part of Munich Re Group, we are a unique organization providing expertise in specialty and marine lines of insurance as well as surety risks and customs bonds with in-house claims solutions.

We are seeking a full time Business Development Executiveto join the Roanoke Insurance Group division as a hybrid employee in our Long Beach, CA office reporting to the Regional Vice President.

Job Profile

Generate, validate, and pursue new leads and referrals to expand our client base through various channels including networking, referrals, cold calling, and other marketing strategiesAnalyze market trends and competitor strategies to identify potential clients and opportunitiesDevelop and implement strategic business plans to achieve assigned goals and objectivesActively participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build a strong professional network and enhance business development effortsClose sales by addressing client concerns, overcoming objections, and effectively communicating the value of our insurance products and servicesMaintain expert knowledge of our insurance product lines and serve as a resource to clients, providing solutions that meet their specific needsJob Requirements

3-5 years of proven experience in sales or business development within the insurance industryStrong understanding of insurance products and services, with the ability to articulate technical information clearly to clientsDemonstrated ability to achieve or exceed sales targets and goalsExcellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skillsProperty & Casualty insurance license in home domicile stateMRSGNA is open to considering candidates in numerous locations, including Long Beach, CA. The salary range posted below applies to the Company's Long Beach, CA location. The base salary range anticipated for this position is $60,000 to $96,000 (as defined in the table below), plus opportunity for variable compensation up to 30% of base salary. The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for candidates hired in this position in Long Beach, CA. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.

Base Salary

$60,000-$90,000

Pay Mix

~ 70% base / ~ 30% variable

SIS provides insurance to retail and wholesale insurance brokers in North America. Specialty lines include ocean and inland marine, cyber, tech E&O, terrorism, active assailant & political violence.

RIG operates as a specialty insurance broker focused on surety, insurance and related offerings for logistics service providers, customs brokers and companies with supply chains.
