Primary Duties:
Obtains supplies/equipment/medications, as needed, fromappropriate departmentsand transports to nursing units. Obtains "STAT" medications from Pharmacy and delivers to nursing units.Assistsnursing staff getting patients into chairs/beds/stretchers, and escorts/transports patients to and from ancillary departments. Responds to all "Codes"as assigned,to transport and obtain requests for supplies, medications, etc.Transport specimens toappropriate laboratory .Utilizes communication devices ( bellboy , walkie-talkie) to respond to requests for service, and alwaysmaintainsall devices in proper working condition.Communicatesappropriate informationto patients, staff, and visitors.Maintains a safe environment for patients during all phases of transportation. Exemplifies Guest and Staff Relations standards in all activities.Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.Previoushospital or patient care experience preferred.
