The successful candidate will handle litigated files with minimal supervision, actively engage in all aspects of litigation, and collaborate with firm staff to deliver exceptional legal services.Duties and Responsibilities:Investigate claims and develop legal strategiesMeet with clients to discuss case details and provide legal adviceDraft and respond to written discoveryDraft, review, and oppose legal motionsTake and defend percipient witness and expert depositionsAppear in court for hearings and trialsNegotiate settlements and agreements with opposing counselPrepare and review legal briefs, pleadings, and reportsPrepare reports to clients on case status and developmentsHandle litigated files from inception through resolution with minimal supervisionRequirements:J.D. from an accredited law schoolCA Bar membership is required2-4 years of experience managing litigated cases from start to finishExperience with trial preparation is highly preferredStrong communication and writing skillsExtensive legal knowledge and expertiseAbility to work collaboratively with firm paralegals and staffEducation:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law schoolCertifications:Active membership in the California State Bar (CA Bar)Skills:Strong legal research and analytical skillsProficient in drafting legal documents and motionsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsEffective negotiation and litigation skillsAbility to manage multiple cases and meet deadlinesExperience working with legal staff and paralegals
