Government Acquisitions Inc. (GAI) – is seeking a VDI Engineer to join our team to support Government activities in Sterling, VA or Annapolis Junction, MD. As a VDI Engineer, you will be charged with engineering solutions for baseline VDI builds to ensure upgrades are incorporated before operating system (OS) end-of-life.

Job Description & Work Responsibilities (Tasks include but are not limited to the following):Engineering, Designing, testing, implementing, maintaining, securing, and full life-cycle management of the complex Citrix XenDesktop and NetScaler solutions deployed in the large Enterprise environment.Designing and supporting Microsoft infrastructure solutions including Azure Virtual Desktop, on-prem, cloud, and hybrid.Interacting with Government regarding technical considerations for problems, issues, or conflicts.Engineering, implementing, mitigating, monitoring, and tuning VDI environment and management software to obtain Authorize To Operate (ATO) for new VDI solutions.Managing Citrix products (Virtual Apps, Virtual Desktops, ADC, Provisioning).Operating and executing scripting skills in PowerShell or Python.Providing Tier 3 and above support as needed (troubleshooting, problem resolution support, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).Preparing and maintaining documentation for VDI solutions, processes, and procedures related to engineering projects.Qualifications/Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):Experience performing engineering work associated with the design, development, maintenance, and testing of infrastructure for desktop application packaging and deployment technologies.Knowledge of Citrix XenApp, AppLayering, and/or Enterprise Layer Manager (ELM).Hands-on experience with SQL Clustering Failover.Knowledge of cloud, networking, and enterprise architectures.Expertise in the Windows 10 area – Standard Operating Environment (SOE), imaging, evergreen, etc.Interpersonal/Teamwork/Problem Solving:Works individually or as a key member of a senior leadership team.Oversees and monitors performance across several disciplines, and when required, takes steps to resolve issues.Provides expert guidance and direction to Government and Vendor level technicians and managers.Directs multiple contractor and subcontractors through project completion.Certifications, Licenses, and Clearances:Preferred:Managing Modern Desktops (MD-101).Windows 2019 Server Deployment.Remote Desktop Services (RDS).Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (1Y0-312).Required:DoD 8570 compliance or information assurance certification commensurate with technical objectives and services required within the task order.Applicable software or hardware training and certifications commensurate with the technical objectives, services required, and IT environment specified within the task orders.Active TS/SCI with CI poly required.About Government Acquisitions, Inc.
