Where is the work:

Due to the nature of this role, this position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week.

What you will do:

Lead the development and delivery for the strategy to fully realize a connected end-to-end digital process from MBSE to MBM.

Collaborate with MBSE and MBM domain specialists to ensure the data and all processes are aligned to maintain a continuous digital thread enabling concurrent engineering.

Keep the company’s processes updated by cultivating external partnerships, continuous technology scans, and evaluation of the best vendors and tools to facilitate full data traceability, data integrity, and enhance a culture of model-based digital and concurrent engineering.

Define and recommend a Digital Design Framework integrated with the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform, as well as other key Trane Technologies’ systems to provide a seamless Digital Thread from systems engineering to manufacturing processes.

Develop standard work and business operating procedures related to Model based systems engineering and manufacturing deployment to new product development projects.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with engineering teams to ensure cohesive system development across the global enterprise. Shape business unit long term technical road maps and strategies in collaboration with business growth teams and technical leadership.

Compliance and Standards: Ensure systems comply with industry standards and regulations is preferred.

Training and Mentorship: Mentor engineers and provide training on model based systems engineering and manufacturing expertise.

Project Management: Manage multiple complex projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with goals.

Customer Interaction: Interface with customers to understand requirements and present results.

Continuous Improvement: Seek ways to improve model based systems engineering and manufacturing processes.

Thought Leadership: Establish and maintain credibility as an external expert through published papers, patents, and speaking engagements. Apply leading-edge technology thought leadership and research to influence the market, as well as regulations and standards is preferred.

What you will bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science (Advanced Degree preferred).

Has demonstrated experience in successfully introducing or deploying Model Based systems engineering and/or manufacturing in a large organization.

Strong experience in either Dassault or Siemens platforms and tools is highly preferred.

Experience with MBSE practices across hardware and software is required.

Experience with manufacturing processes, concurrent engineering Lean, Production Preparation Planning is preferred.

Experience with Product Line Engineering, product configuration and BoM management is required.

Knowledgeable in MBSE, Model Based Manufacturing and experience in applying it to the full engineering lifecycle is required.

Experience in Agile development methodologies to bring value quickly through iterative delivery to the organization.

OCSMP (Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional) certification is highly preferred.

INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) is preferred.

Experience in HVAC&R products is highly preferred. Experience in refrigeration systems and components, such as engines, fans, compressors, power electronics, and control systems is highly preferred.

Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering or Digital Engineering tools.

Strong experience with requirements management, architecture definition, verification and validation.

Strong teamwork, interpersonal, communication, and project management skills required.

Must be able to work on multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.

Compensation:

Base Salary: $145,000 - $185,000
