Care’s mission is to provide access to quality health care for Los Angeles County's vulnerable and low-income communities and residents.The Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (ePMO) is accountable for intake, execution, and managing the oversight of strategic programs and projects approved and budgeted by L.A. Care (LAC) Leadership and the Board of Governors. The Project Manager III, Portfolio Delivery (Project Manager III) is responsible for managing all aspects of assigned projects, leading project teams in creating project level artifacts as defined by the ePMO Shared Services.Duties
Leads and manages a portfolio of large complex projects.Develops, manages, and maintains the project plan, schedule, resources, and project artifacts.Identifies and tracks risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.Provides timely status reports and proactively escalates issues for resolution.Develops strategies for achieving project goals and realigns strategies to account for unforeseen challenges.Monitors best practices in the field of expertise.Leads others to successfully complete project deliverables on time, within scope and on budget.Responsible for scheduling, cost tracking/budget, and resource management.Ensures executive summaries are submitted to the Leadership Team for review and approval.Applies subject expertise in evaluating business operations and processes.Performs other duties as assigned.Education Required
Bachelor's DegreeIn lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.Education Preferred
Master's DegreeExperience
Required:At least 5-7 years of experience in Project Management within a Managed Care Organization or Top 10 management consulting role in the Healthcare industry.Skills
Required:Demonstrated success managing medium to large scale, diverse and complex projects executing simultaneously.Licenses/Certifications Required
