A law firm in Fremont, CA, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Attorney to represent clients in all areas of family law. The ideal candidate will assist individuals in navigating prenuptial agreements, attending court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, and child support, and handling sensitive legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence. This role requires maintaining composure, negotiating, and arguing effectively, even in emotional and high-stress situations.Duties
Represent clients in all areas of family lawAssist individuals with prenuptial agreements and attend court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, and child supportHandle sensitive legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violenceAnalyze clients' situations, understand their needs, and create strategic plans of actionWork closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation processAttend court proceedings as needed to represent clientsCreate legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of casesKeep client files properly organized and up to dateRequirements
Must be licensed to practice in the State of CAProven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendantsEducation
Undergraduate degree with a legal backgroundCertifications
Licensed to practice law in the State of CASkills
Excellent communication and negotiation skillsAbility to maintain composure and argue effectively in highly stressful and emotional situationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient in creating legal documents and managing a high volume of casesJob Location
