The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of experience defending employers in employment-related litigation, including single-plaintiff discrimination, harassment, retaliation cases, and ERISA litigation. This role requires occasional in-office presence for meetings, depositions, and court appearances. The successful candidate will possess a strong academic background, extensive experience in employment law, and excellent communication skills. Must be licensed to practice law in the U.S.Duties:Represent employers in litigation involving single-plaintiff discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims.Handle ERISA litigation, providing legal guidance on employee benefits disputes.Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.Conduct thorough legal research to support case development and strategy.Represent clients in depositions, mediations, and court proceedings.Develop and implement effective case strategies in consultation with clients.Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring timely and accurate handling of all legal matters.Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on labor and employment issues.Requirements:4-7 years of experience in employment litigation, including defending employers in various claims.Proven experience in handling employment actions before administrative agencies and in court.Strong academic record with a thorough understanding of labor and employment law.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.Highly organized with strong time management skills and attention to detail.Must be licensed to practice law in the U.S.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the bar in the state of Oregon or eligibility to obtain admission.Skills:Comprehensive knowledge of employment law, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and ERISA litigation.Proficiency in legal research, writing, and drafting.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and case management abilities.Exceptional interpersonal and client communication skills.Capability to handle complex cases and high-pressure situations effectively.
