The re-designation process happens every four years.Pre-Employment RequirementsAll new employees must complete several pre-employment requirements prior to starting.Director Perioperative ServicesShift: DayEmployment Status: Full-Time (.75 or greater)Starting Wage DOEThe Director of Perioperative Services manages the operations and activities of the Operating Rooms, Peri-anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Pre-Admission Testing (PAT), Hospital Outpatient Surgery, and Central Sterile processing and Bozeman Surgery Center. This position is responsible for the overall management of the departments’ daily operations to achieve quality improvement, fiscal productivity, and patient satisfaction goals and objectives established by the organization. The Director assumes the role as a leader in planning, directing and managing the department and staff to assure quality service on a 24/7 basis. The Director is responsible for meeting AORN and ASPAN standards, complying with corporate policy and procedures, managing supplies and equipment in the units, promoting teamwork with physicians and all healthcare providers, and ensuring appropriate resource management.Essential Job FunctionsDevelops and oversees Perioperative Services to ensure adherence to organizational mission, vision, values, strategic goals, and business objectives.In collaboration with Senior Leadership, physician leadership, and other healthcare providers, leads, develops, and revises programs which enhance Perioperative Services.Leads the Perioperative leadership team in the overall marketing, program development, and service priorities that support a quality-focused environment and the financial objectives of the organization.Oversees Managers, Clinical Coordinators, educators and other direct reports with preparation of the budget, staffing, objectives, standards, and staff education programs.Practices process improvement principles to assess and improve the quality of the service/care provided within Perioperative Services.Develops, retains, recruits, and leads a talented management team committed to accomplishing the organizational goals.Demonstrates and encourages an ethic of open communication and teamwork throughout the organization.Leads evaluation, selection, and integration of healthcare technology and information management systems within perioperative services.Identifies needs and sets goals for own growth and development; meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements.Maintains confidentiality of information per organizational and departmental policies.Completes and approves annual operations and capital expense budgets, directs necessary analysis, and presents proposed budgets to the governing body for final approval.Monitors, measures, and reports on operational and marketing issues, opportunities, and new program development plans and achievements.Performs other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the organization.Minimum QualificationsEducation: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in a related fieldExperience: Billings Clinic is Montana’s largest health system serving Montana, Wyoming and the western Dakotas.
