A law firm in Fullerton, CA, seeks a dedicated and results-driven Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess experience or a strong interest in consumer collection litigation. This role demands an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is committed to delivering high-quality work while upholding the firm’s standards of integrity and excellence.Duties:Provide thorough assessments and practical advice while advocating for clients in and out of court during the legal collection process.Communicate with opposing counsel and pro se parties to resolve disputes and negotiate amicable resolutions.Draft and review legal briefs, correspondence, pleadings, and other documents.Document account/file activity by firm and client policies and procedures.Travel to various courts within the state and effectively manage all aspects of a case’s litigation life cycle.Research and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations to formulate legal opinions for review by a supervising attorney.Maintain responsive communication with clients to foster and develop strong client relationships.Attend continuing education classes, webinars, and seminars to stay informed of local, state, and federal legal changes.Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements:Experience in consumer collection litigation is preferredAdvanced knowledge and understanding of the legal, and regulatory framework of the consumer collection industry.Knowledge of the civil litigation process and state and federal consumer protection laws.Ability to collaborate with colleagues to identify high-quality solutions and effectively utilize available resources.Superior time management skills and the ability to manage priorities to meet business requirements and deadlines.Leadership skills with the capacity to drive and motivate other employees toward achieving results.Excellent written and oral communication skills, adaptable across various recipients, including attorneys, non-attorneys, and organizational levels.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the State Bar of California.Skills:Strong understanding of consumer collection litigation and civil litigation processes.Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents.Effective communication and negotiation skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.Job Location:
