Job Description:

The CS Business Development (BD) and Large Capture team has an opportunity for a Business Development and Sales leader with the competitive capture skills required to successfully lead new strategic pursuits and captures. This position uses and advocates the use of the L3Harris Common Capture Process (CCP) to win strategic and priority competitive pursuits.

This individual will be responsible for leading strategic captures with the Navy and USMC customers, improving priority pursuit win rates, capturing lessons learned, and working with program teams to effectively compete and improve win rates. In addition, this position will be responsible for managing and driving proposals to completion and Next-Generation Tactical Datalink (TDL) product sales within the Broadband Communications Systems Network and Data Link Solutions (NDLS) Business Area. Will provide competitive capture expertise needed to define and develop win strategies, assess/assist capture readiness, and engage with capture teams to improve probability of win pursuits in the NDLS Business Area.

Reporting to VP, CS Business Development and Large Capture.

Essential Functions:

Drive orders generation, predictability, and pipeline sufficiency, in collaboration with the Program Directors and their staff.

Lead prospects meetings, preparations, and reviews with the Business Area. Works with the P&L team to ensure accuracy and completeness of our CRM data. Coordinates with Segment BD Operations and BD leads to leverage best practices.

Manage discretionary budget priorities (direct sales, bid and proposal) aligned to Business Area priorities, in support of achieving annual objectives. Ensure alignment of resources to capture, technology roadmaps, coordinating across stakeholders (engineering, PM) and sector product line counterparts.

Support the Business Area with leadership of key captures, including resources and action plans to achieve results. Planning and reviewing gate review content, in collaboration with capture teams.

Ensure priorities are aligned to outcomes. Lead our congressional budget analysis and analytics, with the support of the Business Area BD team.

Close collaboration with the customer-facing BD organization; including customer engagement support with NAVWAR and NAVSEA in support of captures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Minimum of 10 years demonstrated capture experience, DoD or similar

Working knowledge of defense, aerospace, intelligence, and adjacent markets

Experience leading multi-divisional or company teams a significant plus

Skills in assessing outside vendor competitive analysis and price-to-win target setting, by gathering data from multiple, often disparate, qualitative, and quantitative sources and synthesizing it into meaningful reports and presentations.

Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (Oral, written and presentation) and an exquisite attention to detail.

Team oriented with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Working knowledge of and/or desire to learn about the U.S. Government budgeting and Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition processes.

Experience with industry-specific research tools, to include the Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS), FedBizOps, GovWinIQ, Avascent Analytics, DACIS, IHS Janes, Bloomberg Government, etc.

Advanced skills with the Microsoft Office Suite, to include PowerPoint and Excel functions (e.g., Pivot Tables, Lookups, Conditional Formatting, If Statements)

Experience with enterprise CRM tools (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) and dashboards (Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau)

An Active US DoD Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Preferred undergraduate or graduate degree in one of Engineering, Finance, or Business.
