Senior Legal Counsel, M&A

JOB SUMMARY:As Senior Corporate Counsel, the candidate will join the Legal M&A team and will interact with and support various groups across the company with a primary focus on M&A and other corporate legal matters. This person will report to the Vice President, Associate General Counsel M&A and Securities. The candidate will provide counsel on all aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures matters globally managing and implementing corporate policies. Provide legal training to members of management and business partners. Provide support for M&A transactions, including working with Corporate Development on deal structure and LOI terms, planning and assisting in due diligence, drafting, and negotiating deal agreements, and actively managing deal process and execution. Provide support on corporate and other transactions and special projects.SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Required (at a minimum) Qualifications:Juris Doctorate from an accredited law schoolSeven (7) years of experience as a corporate law generalist with experience in M&A workRequired licensure to practice law within at least one statePreferred Qualifications:Demonstrated ability to perform successfully independently and in cross-functional teamsAbility to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and exercise sound legal judgmentExcellent interpersonal, strategic thinking, communication, and organizational skillsFamiliarity with the medical devices industry
