We are searching for an experienced **Sales Manager** to join the teams at the Hampton Inn by Hilton in York, PA.Our next **Sales Manager** should be a professional, energetic candidate with demonstrated hotel sales and leadership experience. This position is responsible for executing sales strategies and proactive business development tactics that maximize hotel profitability and achieve property revenue objectives.This position is responsible for creating and executing sales strategies that drive innovation, team member development, maximize hotel profitability and achieve property revenue objectives. Your positive energy and passion for sales should be a motivating force that creates an "everybody sells" enthusiasm among the entire hotel team.**Area of responsibility for our Sales Manager include:*** Responsible for meeting sales goals through proactive sales solicitation including personal appointments, phone and email solicitation.* Contributing to the overall revenues of the hotel by building relationships with existing accounts/clients and securing new contracts with all repeating groups within assigned segments.* Develop and maintain relationships with key clients of corporate accounts.* Manage social segment and group coordination sales.* Attend appropriate networking events, becoming involved in civic or nonprofit activities and participating in relevant Chamber and Tourism Bureau events and informational meetings.* Responsible for professionally managing all sales inquiry calls and closing on all inquiries according to GRC parameters.* Respond to all third-party and brand sourced leads in a timely and organized manner.* Work with Area Director of Sales and GM to cultivate new client relationships, maintain existing ones and re-establish lost ones through phone and personal contact when needed.* Attend weekly sales and weekly revenue meetings as directed by GM and Revenue Manager.**Our next team member will ideally possess the following educational and work qualifications:*** A high school diploma or general equivalent (GED) required* Associates Degree in hospitality or related field preferred* Minimum 2 years hotel sales experience required, multi-brand experience preferred* Demonstrated ability to understand customer requirements and translate these into sales solutions and satisfied guests.* Excellent communication skills* Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.* Proven record for providing outstanding customer service skills with a desire to overcome obstacles and resolve problems.* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Fosse, OnQ, Delphi, and ProfitSage preferred.**Important Information:*** This position is responsible for all sales segments at our hotel; Corporate and Social (SMERF)* This position reports to the Area Director of Sales & Marketing, West Region.* You will be located at Hampton Inn by Hilton York near the York Galleria Mall + Hollywood Casino York.* In this position you may be required to work varying schedules as needed by the hotel and business operations.* This position requires minimal travel for sales calls within the region.**Working for The High Companies:**At High Hotels co-workers always come first.
