At ASSA ABLOY, our Access Egress Hardware Team is looking to expand their division as we seek to hire an ERP Configuration Analyst who will focus on process automation within the JD Edwards ERP Product Configurator.

You will be at the forefront of automating processes, ensuring our data is configured at an optimal level. As a Data Configuration Analyst, you will evaluate our current data extraction methods utilizing various sources and work to create ways to improve operational efficiency within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This position will report to the ERP Product Data Manager and will sit onsite full-time New Haven, CT.

What you will be doing

Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for JDE ERP solutions.

Develop, test, and implement scripts using Python preferably to automate various processes within the JDE ERP system.

Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions.

Monitor and maintain ERP system performance, ensuring optimal functionality and user experience.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for ERP processes automations, and efficiency improvements.

Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in ERP technologies and scripting languages.

Facilitate seamless communication with cross-functional teams which will require the resolution of data discrepancies related to ERP Configurator.

Provide comprehensive support for large ERP Product Data transformations and related activities as we undergo acquisitions. This will include working closely with the JDE I.T. Team to troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies.

Engage in the Engineering Change Process to ensure a smooth integration within operational frameworks.

Conduct Configurator data uploads and maintenance in support of NPD and sustaining product support.

Offer insights and guidance to Engineering and Operations Teams to streamline new process automation releases in support of Configurator data uploads and maintenance.

Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of ERP Product Data, encompassing Item Master, Item Branch, and Bill of Material functions, to facilitate informed decision-making and operational excellence.

What we are looking for

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Technology & Systems, or related field of study.

Must have prior work experience in developing scripts using Perl, Bash, OR Python.

Must have 4-5 years of experience in working with an ERP system.

Ability to take the lead on various projects as assigned.

Demonstrated success in data wrangling, data cleansing and data transformation to ensure data integrity and usability.

Ability to consolidate information into a cohesive and understandable format for presentation or review for use decision making.

Strong analytical and data management skills and ability to understand production and engineering business processes.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office for Windows (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) is required.

Preferred Skills

Python scripting experience used for automating tasks.

Hands-on experience working with JDE ERP.

A general understanding of manufacturing and production processes as they relate to the ERP system.

Working knowledge of in business processes such as Part/BOM management, Engineering Change management (ECR/ECO), and manufacturing & production processes.
