Description
Responsible for the internal and external sales of audiovisual technology for various events serviced by Five-Star AudioVisual. This includes participating in onsite visits by prospective clients, solicitation of new business and ensuring that our customers receive the proper equipment needed to accomplish their objectives.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSecures maximum amount of AV PARCommunicate by telephone and written correspondence to determine the client's needsWorks closely with hotel sales staff and others to develop sales leads for upcoming conventions and meetingsWorks closely with the audiovisual office when consulting with clients on selection, reservation, and acquisition of audiovisual equipment and servicesUses customized meeting diagrams and Five-Star Audio Visual's computerized billing system and marketing materials to create and deliver sales presentations detailing equipment, service prices and labor quotationsDevelops and enhances relationship with hotel sales and convention services personnel. Often serves as the main Five-Star representative at the group's arrivalNegotiate directly with clients when necessary on costs to ensure that no audiovisual business is lost due to pricingMinimizes service challenges through advance client contract consultingEstablish and maintain sales files to track all future bookingsDevelop and maintain long-term relationships with VIP/repeat hotel clientsAttends all site inspections and pre-and post-event meetingsReview final billing directly with client and obtain approval of all audiovisual chargesFollow up with all clients through thank you letters and post event service evaluationsFollow and act in accordance with all company rules and policies in regard to general operation of the company, including but not limited to sales and promotional policies, procedures and specific company rulesMaintaining a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics and image of selfOther Duties

Direct experience with related customer service responsibilities. Proven experience in developing positive customer relationships and seeking ways to increase customer satisfaction and loyaltyPossesses excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in high volume environmentPossesses the skills and knowledge necessary to capture new business for the organization by actively researching client organizations through a variety of resourcesProactively listens and clarifies customers' needs and continually following up in meeting customers' needs while maximizing profitsUnderstands the local market and demonstrates the ability to handle objections and competitionUnderstands customers' needs intimately and matches them to the appropriate services and products. Has the ability to grasp the customers' perspective while acting as a trusted advisorEncourages and supports the ongoing development and education of individuals in the profit centerExhibits well-developed communication skills, both oral and written; is clear, concise, sincere and persuasivePursues sales goals beyond what is required or expected of him/herExperience Required
Minimum of 3-4 years experience in the audiovisual industryAdvanced knowledge and experience with audiovisual setups and strikesExceptional customer service or hospitality experience requiredValid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required to operate company vehicleCertification in audiovisual technology or related courses (preferred)Required Technical Skills (Minimum)
