In this vital position, you are will maintain company standards, manage operations, and supervise store associates with the expectation of generating sales and ensure exceptional customer service. You will be expected to maximize profits and stay within budget by managing margins and expenses, as well as be accountable for the stores P&L.The Retail Assistant Store Manager will report directly to the Retail Store Manager and be responsible for:* **Personnel:**+ Train staff in necessary product knowledge, selling skills, and store operations+ Motivate and develop individual associates through coaching and feedback+ Foster and maintain a healthy, safe, pleasant, and cooperative work environment+ Ensure that staff adhere to company policies and procedures+ Assist Store Manager in conducting annual staff reviews* **Financial goals**+ Maximize sales to achieve or exceed annual budget+ Analyze and review goal attainment and suggest corrective measures+ Maintain exemplary stewardship of the business* **Administration**+ Complete staff schedule with corporate directed frequency and effectively manage payroll by leveraging staff availability and store needs+ Ensure proper opening and closing procedures+ Maintain a well-organized back office and provide reporting+ Maintain cash asset loss policies/procedures+ Offer opinion and points of view with intent to improve existing policies and procedures* **Merchandise**+ Maintain appropriate merchandise and store supply inventories. Partner w/ Store Manager with merchandise orders and receiving.+ Ensure store follows merchandising standards+ Offer assortment recommendations based on customers needs+ Maintain a clean, safe, inviting sales floor that is replenished adequately to meet customer demand* **Marketing**+ Ensure outstanding and consistent customer service+ Help recommend and develop special promotions+ Conduct and/or train staff to conduct in-store classes, demos, and other events+ Maintain the Customer Relationship Management system+ Promote the store by building relationships in the local community+ Propose and execute in-store and off-site special events to generate traffic and publicity**JOB REQUIREMENTS:*** A culinary passion!* Associates or Bachelors degree preferred with a minimum of 3 years retail sales management experience* Ability to lead and motivate a team* Commitment to customer service and constant improvement* Excellent written, organizational (planning, expediting, prioritizing and multitasking), and communication skills* Strong business sense and excellent problem-solving skills* Sound organizational skills: planning, expediting, prioritizing and multi-tasking* Professional attitude and ability to be flexible and deal with change* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.* Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and timeliness* Ability to work a variety of shifts.
