Work with Tax Management team to achieve departmental objectives.Support Managers, Sr. Managers and Partners in developing client relationships and to gain understanding of businesses.Develop client relationships to become primary client contact on engagements.Identify potential accounting and tax issues for Partner & Client discussion.Create plans and goals to advise clients.Prepare and review complex tax returns and workpapers.Communicate timely changes to federal, state, and local tax regulations.Establish and support best in class practices, procedures, and controls for the Tax Department.Manage and develop staff.Manage client workflow and ensure deadlines are being met.Supervise tax returns and oversight of tax department work product as assigned.Special projects
Requirements•BS Degree in Accounting or Finance required.•CPA or MST required•2-3 years' experience in a supervisory role at a Public Accounting Firm and 7-10 years tax experience.•Strong planning, project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.•Proficient in QuickBooks, online and desktop.•Proficient with Excel, Outlook and Word
