Position Overview:The Quality Technician (PPAP Assistant) is responsible for supporting the PPAP Technician to ensure that deliverables are met. In this role you will:•Assist the PPAP Technician deliverables for PPAP's in accordance with AIAG and/or customer requirements:o Maintain and review data against specification,o Retrieve and Validate Material Certs from Supplierso Assist with work instructions as requiredo Create and update documents in PLEX ERPo Maintain master Samples,o Retrieve, weigh, and photograph sampleso Perform other duties as assigned by Quality Management.When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we - as individuals and as a company - are stronger.

Qualifications - InternalRequired (Basic) Qualifications:•High school diploma or GED is required•Ability to read blueprints, technical data sheets, and schematics,•Quality and Metrology knowledge•Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and PDF reader (Word, Excel, Adobe/Firefox,Outlook, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:•Ability to use and test functionality of basic inspection gauges (caliper, pin gauge, height gauge, etc.)•Associate degree in Quality or Manufacturing Engineering, other technical degree, or applicable experience in manufacturing setting,•Experience in developing and following Quality processes, including assembly, test procedures, and inspection plans preferred.•Automotive Industry (preferred).

Position Criteria:•Troubleshoot metrology and process issues to minimize down time, drive continuous improvement, and recommend solutions,•Support root cause analysis,•Communicate and interact with Engineering, Tool Room and Production as necessary to promote specification compliance and customer PPAP submission,•Good communication skills both written and oral (English and Spanish preferred),•Problem-solving skills.•Required to occasionally lift 40 lbs.•Hearing protection required in posted places•Safety glasses and steel boots are required•Comply with all safety protocols
