JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Senior Manager, Indirect Procurement is responsible for collaborating with internal stakeholders and external business partners in sourcing equipment, as well as Not-For-Resale (NFR) goods and services on a cost-effective basis. The role leads and develops a team of procurement professionals and oversees operations at the Equipment Staging Facility (ESF). The position is also responsible for the eProcurement application and ScanMarket contract management.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITESManage procurement staff in sourcing, contracting, transactional purchasing, supplier management, and miscellaneous internal procurement support activities, including ESF operationsIdentify and realize cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunitiesSelect and manage procurement system(s) (currently PeopleSoft eProcurement)Develop talent within the procurement teamManage business process outsourcing activities (includes Topco and ScanMarket)Manage the budget and forecast for categories within departmental purview - and for the Procurement DepartmentManage vendor and supplier relationshipsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Required Education: Bachelor's DegreeOther Requirements: At least 5 years of experience in negotiating deals, contracts and purchase agreements. Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Finance or related field, OR high school equivalent and 8 years of experience in procurement (Indirect/NFR preferred). CPSM certification preferred.Minimum Years of Experience: 5 to 8 yearsREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge
Knowledge of advanced sourcing approaches including cost modeling and outsourced managed servicesKnowledge of the procurement lifecycle and professional procurement best practicesAbility to facilitate supplier collaboration with stakeholders to identify continuous improvement/cost reduction initiativesKnowledge of warehousing operations preferredSkills and Abilities
Experience with sourcing and vendor managementExperience evaluating, implementing and using purchasing systems (PeopleSoft eProcurement preferred)Experience and skills in supplier negotiations including deals, purchase agreements, contracts and developing/executing sourcing strategiesExperience in managing and developing talentExperience and skills in collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet department objectives within budget and established timelines.Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, Microsoft Word/Google DocsFORMAL POLICY SETTING
